Triple Chop PvE Build, Suggestions?
First off, I have all 4 campaigns so all skills are available. I've never used axes before in PvE, swords + plus PvP Evis builds are about all I've done on my Warrior.
I thought Triple Chop would be best for PvE for the powerful aoe damage. So far I've got something like this:
Triple Chop {E}
Whirlwind Attack?
Cyclone Axe?
Disrupting Chop
Flail
Dash?
Heal Sig/Lions Comfort/Watch Yourselves?
Res
Not sure if I'd need all 3 aoe skills. Res/heal aren't that necessary I know, not sure what to put in instead, maybe condition removal? I put Dash in for a quick charge speed boost. Is disrupting that necessary for PvE? Rangers do that fairly well.
All help is appreciated, thanks.

Find a way to squeeze [skill]Dismember[/skill] on there.
A skill that does +~100 damage for only 5a? Yeah, that'll be stapled to my axe bar without fail.
Other than that, the three AoE attack skills are good, Flail is good, Rez is good, but I'd go with Watch Yourself and Heal Sig over other options you listed for the last two slots. Save Yourselves is much better on a sword bar because it has DS and For Great Justice to fuel it; I prefer Watch Yourself on an axe bar because the +20 armor is perpetual.
So something like this:
[skill]Triple Chop[/skill][skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill][skill]Whirlwind Attack[/skill][skill]Dismember[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill]+ Rez of choice

OP: Grammar speaks the truth: take the three AoE attacks. Splinter Weapon loves Triple Chop, Cyclone Axe, and Whirlwing Attack.
I also agree on the dismember. I sometimes substitute Disrupting Chop for "Watch Yourselves!" as the group I run with tends not to take interrupts.
Best of luck,
Sanbao

Tell me when Deep Wound is necessary in PvE? Seriously when is it? You're already killing things quick enough before the Deep wound can do anything special. If you're not killing monsters fast enough then it's either A) special boss (like Shiro) where 100 does nothing, B) a normal boss (like Maw the Mountain Heart) where he can be killed easily with DPS or C) your doing it wrong

Deep wound also reduces healing by 20%, this helps a fair bit on foes where monks and rits are healing them + there self healing.
Mostly in hard mode, but why not kill stuff even faster on normal mode?
As to the OP, Triple chop +[skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill] is pretty much all you need to slaughter stuff in PvE.

If you're killing things quick enough, why would you want an interrupt either? You might as well add a skill that helps kill stuff faster.

[skill]Triple Chop[/skill] -> [skill]Whirlwind Attack[/skill] -> [skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill] -> [skill]Whirlwind Attack[/skill] -> [skill]Triple Chop[/skill] -> [skill]Whirlwind Attack[/skill] -> [skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill] -> [skill]Whirlwind Attack[/skill]
Is there any monster monk in the game that can protect against that?

Because in the time it takes you to take 100 damage off one creature, you could have hit 5 other creatures for 60 damage

Because you always hit 3+ enemies with Triple/Cyclone/Whirlwind?

Because at the start of a fight in PvE, you generally are hitting more than 3 enemies? Because when it is less than 3 enemies it doesn't matter? Because deep wound makes the fight only like a few seconds quicker?

I don't actually think anyone said you *needed* deep wound in PvE, but why not? It does good damage. What would you use instead?
My answer, you might as well take it.

My advice :
FGJ + Flail + Splinter weapon + triple chop + whirlwind attack + dismember + disrupting chop + whatever you want. You can take nightmare weapon for fun : self heal and quick armor free damage on a single foe.
Usage on 4+ groups : splinter -> FGJ -> triple chop -> splinter -> whirlwind -> splinter -> flail -> should be dead by now.
11+1+x axe
11 channeling
9+1 strength
If you take a zealous axe, you can put survivor insignias instead of radiant ones : AoE skills boost your energy like crazy.

Hulk SMASH! ME NO LIKE TACTIC, tactic bad. SMASH GOOD!
Seriously bro, I cant even imagine the number of times I would have loved to have dismember over any attack skill. And please, dont waste my time with this elitist "If smash does not work instantly, your doing it wrong" crap.
Have a nice day.

Axe Attack: If this attack hits, you strike for +100 damage.
5 Adrenaline
^^^
If this skill existed, it would be an elite.
Oh wait, it does exist!: [skill]Dismember[/skill]
Ok, maybe that's an oversimplification, but you see where I'm going with this.
If the deep wound is not removed (extremely likely), and the foe dies before the deep would expires (also extremely likely), then Dismember is single most powerful non-elite warrior attack skill in the game, hands down.
Why would you NOT want that on your bar?

Between Triple Chop/Cyclone/Whirlwind, whatever your elementalists are spewing forth and what your necros are hexing, I really can't see how most things would survive, extra 100 hp or not. Yeah in HM I would take it (I don't because I always use Eviscerate when I go axe) because things don't bunch up stupidly and tank the damage so that 100 damage is good but as I said it's not really needed in NM where DPS kills everything too quickly anyway

Ok, I have a W/Mo, and this has been a favorite skill list of mine for the past year I used to have Furious Axe instead of cyclone axe, I switch between the two. This build deals good amounts of damage, and has excellent self healing.
Triple Chop, Executioner's Strike, Disrupting Chop, Cyclone Axe, Sprint, Vigorous Spirit, Healing Breeze, Rebirth
And I agree. Tactics stink. I like strength much better.
